Fall 2020 Book Club – “John Marshall: The Man Who Made the Supreme Court”

Please join us for our fall 2020 book club featuring John Marshall: The Man Who Made the Supreme Court with author Richard Brookhiser and a discussion on his new John Marshall documentary!

In John Marshall, award-winning biographer and NRI fellow Richard Brookhiser vividly chronicles America’s greatest judge and the world he made. Following the book club, we will host a discussion with Brookhiser and NRI fellow Jay Nordlinger on Brookhiser’s newly released documentary. Filmed across eleven states, the film explores the life of the greatest judge in American history, John Marshall, who built the Supreme Court into the third pillar of American government. With in-depth interviews with scholars, judges, and Chief Justice Roberts, the documentary brings to life a time of transition and turmoil when the success of the American ‘experiment’ was still in doubt.

Please note that the book club is for NRI supporters who give at the $250 level and up.
We hope you will consider making a tax-deductible donation to National Review Institute, the non-profit journalistic think tank that supports the NR mission, to join us for our next book club and our other virtual programming!
