A brutal persecution is happening, as Christians are being driven out of what was the very cradle of Christianity in Iraq and Syria. Pope Francis has said that there are more Christian martyrs today than in the early days of Christianity. What are we doing about it? What can we do about it? Co-hosted by the Heritage Foundation’s DeVos Center for Religion and Civil Society and NRI’s Center for Religion, Culture, and Civil Society, our expert panel – covering history and public policy, frontline charity and activism, and media – discussed the plight of Christians in Iraq and Syria and how they can be helped and how their witness can strengthen our resolve in defense of religious freedom at home and abroad. Info and Video
