Peace Through Strength Initiative

A recommitment to peace through strength

Now more than ever, conservatives need to support a policy of peace through strength. This is the time-tested American posture, running from George Washington through Ronald Reagan, that has helped make us the most powerful nation on earth and the undisputed leader of the Western world. With Russia attempting to dismember a neighboring country and China pursuing its hegemonic ambitions in East Asia, this is no time to retreat or to give in to national self-doubt. With the belief that the US must have a strong national defense and an engaged foreign policy, NRI is hosting a series of events to support peace though strength.
