Politico Parrots Bogus La Raza Nevada Poll

Hispanics saved the Dems, Politico’s Ben Smith reported on November 3rd. Smith writes:

Reid got an amazing 90% of the state’s 12% Hispanic voters, according to exit polls; Sharron Angle got just 8%.

This is just plain false. There was a poll that showed Hispanics choosing Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) over Angle 90% to 8%. But it was not an exit poll. It was an election eve poll conducted by Latino Decisions and sponsored by the National Council of La Raza, Service Employees International Union and America’s Voice.

Reuters Fails to Provide Background on Union-Funded “Jobs Study”

Reporting on a new “study” on U.S.-China trade, Reuters reporter Doug Palmer writes:

Unfair Chinese trade and currency practices caused the loss of as many as 2.4 million U.S. jobs between 2001 and 2008, according to a study released on Tuesday.
The report by the left-leaning Economic Policy Institute said China’s “currency manipulation” was a major cause of the United States’ trade deficit with China, though it said other Chinese practices contributed to the deficit.
